a-emotional light is a brand of
illumination born in Galicia, in the north-west of Spain, in 1994 with Arturo Álvarez as owner and founder. For 25 years Arturo Álvarez has led the project and transformed the brand into a reference point for decorative lighting internationally with his designs, currently present in over 80 countries. These include major hotel chains such as Hyatt, Marriott, Pullman hotels, or offices the size of Google or Spotify, as well as many Michelin restaurants. Motivated by exclusively focusing on his most artistic side, in 2020 he handed the baton over to the current owners, Marcos Rioseco (CEO) and Miguel Martínez (Sales Manager) so they can continue his legacy with the knowledge obtained from their long trajectory with the company. This way, they can preserve the traditional know-how of a full hand production to keep creating unique and emblematic designs. With the motto “evo-lution”, the company has embarked on a new phase in which it has expanded its creative team, giving space to different designers with very different sensibilities in a co-creation space where the two pillars of company are immutable: artisanal production and "emotional light". What has always been the company's slogan and its philosophy has now become the name of the brand: a-emotional light. In this new phase, the company wants to become a reference space in which designers feel free to create, being able to develop completely handmade products that integrate with traditional know-how.
A-emotional light: emotions through light
The brand's handmade lamps are inspired by nature and its organic forms and thus create original volumes and textures with constant attention to the protection of environmental heritage. With more than 25 years of experience, a-emotional light has received several international awards including awards for lamps such as
Gea ,
Coral, Ballet, Bety and Fluo, or has seen some of his pieces exhibited in museums such as the Museum of Arts Decorative of Barcelona. Using stainless steel mesh as a leading material, the brand has created
metal lamps that give life to exceptional projects and customized to meet the needs of each space and each customer, creating large compositions for rooms, offices, hotels, restaurants and homes all over the world. All the colours, shapes and sizes that have been developed over these almost 30 years have become a know-how that allows them to continue creating lamps that convey emotions through light.
