Alanod is a German company founded in 1975, specialized in the production of innovative functional and decorative surface
covering on metal coils, which can be made more performing thanks to the complementary process technologies that the company offers: from anodizing to PVD coating (Phisical Vapour Deposition), up to primer and lacquer systems, all products that are tested, evaluated and measured according to international standards, in the company’s research and development center.

Attentive to the needs of the market and the current conditions, Alanod responds quickly by creating functional metal-hybrid technologies for the future. Today, newly defined process combinations allow to create surfaces with special properties that represent an important innovation. First of all is
MIRO®CU, born in response to the Covid-19 pandemic, a product with copper coating which makes this surface antimicrobial, capable of killing germs to 99.9% without any treatment and without chemicals.
Alanod and enviromental protection
Environmental protection is a highest priority, which is why Alanod promotes new solutions for sustainable development and makes a valuable contribution to the conservation of natural resources. All surface finishing processes inevitably require the use of primary energy, consumables and water, but by constantly optimizing and monitoring the systems it is possible to control the correct operation of exhaust air, waste, sewage plants. The conservation of natural resources is therefore an integral part of the company philosophy since the foundation of Alanod. A functional hazardous substances management system also ensures that the products comply with the requirements of REACH, Rohs, WEEE and Eolv, and since 2011, Alanod produces using only renewable energy sources.
Aluminium is a perfectly recyclable material, for this reason, Alanod products made of aluminum not only consist of recycled material up to 90% but can also be recycled completely. This has both economic and ecological benefits: the production of recycled aluminum requires up to 95% less energy, generates less emissions and helps protect the natural reserves of bauxite.
