Founded in 2006, AquiliAlberg is a visionary and innovative international architectural and design practice based in Milan, Italy, with extensive experience in the fields of architecture, urbanism, infrastructure and design on different scale levels. From 1999 they have been responsible for different scale projects, from product design to architecture in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Milan, Rome, London and Beijing, gaining a remarkable experience @ Zaha Hadid Architects, OMA (Rem Koolhaas), UNStudio (Ben Van Berkel & Caroline Bos), ONL (Kas Oosterhuis & Ilona Lenard) and Massimiliano Fuksas. Partners Ergian Alberg & Laura Aquili combine a multicultural approach with uncompromising implementation of high-quality design and architecture. The dynamic nature of the practice enables the exploration of new territories and the adaptation to future challenges using cutting edge digital design platforms and technological production techniques.

The first design project, the side-table Vertigo, marks the beginning of the collaboration with Moroso in 2007. In 2007, they were selected by Corian to design a limited edition object, the Fossil tray, for the event “Corian: 40 years / 40 designers”, a travelling exhibition presented in New York, London, Frankfurt, Paris, Oslo, Brodeaux and Bruxelles. The first interior design project was for the renowned auction house Christie’s, for which they designed the new headquarter and the new offices in Milan. The studio completed in 2009 an ambitious housing project in Cremona too. Also, 2009 saw their first installation and graphics project for the Triennale di Milano. The 700 sqm exhibition “The fragile city“, was staged successfully in the prestigious location in Viale Alemagna, in Milan.

After a collaboration on the Prada stores in New York, San Francisco and Los Angeles, the first project by AquiliAlberg in the fashion world marks the collaboration with designer Neil Barrett for which they have designed the sculptural backdrop of the fashion show in Milan, AW2010. From 2011 AquiliAlberg collaborate with fashion designer Philipp Plein, translating the brand philosophy into a new contemporary architectural language. Lately they have been appointed the fashion brand architects responsible for more then 50 stores and show-rooms worldwide. For the Milan design week, 2011 edition, the international architectural and design office designed, in collaboration with Ernestomeda, Corian and Walt Disney, an amazing and futuristic kitchen and dining area inspired by the famous movie “TRON: Legacy”.

AquiliAlberg recently completed Philipp Plein 750 sqm villa in Cannes where they have been responsible for the overall design and process, from concept to realization and site supervision. Other recent completed projects include, among others, a 3000 sqm headquarter in Lugano, Switzerland and a new 400 sqm villa renovation in Cannes, France. Recently the renowned architectural office is working on some private projects such as two new 200 sqm villas in Switzerland, a 700 sqm town house in New York, a 3000 sqm villa in Belair, Los Angeles, a 1200 sqm villa on the Lugano lake, a 600 sqm apartment building in the Lugano area, on some new store openings, on some installations, design projects and international architectural competitions. Their clients in the product design field include, Moroso, Fiam, Ernestomeda, Kundalini, Corian, Serralunga and Ritzenhoff, for which they have participated at the Salone del Mobile, ICFF, 100% Design, Design Annual, Ambiente, Maison & Objet and IMM Cologne.
