Coffee machines

”Coffee is a balm for heart and soul.” (Giuseppe Verdi)
Who said that you can have a decent coffee only at the cafeteria? Thanks to coffee machines you can get a great espresso at home. On the basis of the way it works, the market offers three kinds of machines: ground coffee machines, pod coffee machines and grain coffee machines. The kind of machine will make the price and taste vary. Let’s look at the main features.
Ground coffee machines were the most common ones up to a few years ago. They let you use ground coffee which is really easy to find. In modern versions they can use both ground and wafer coffee. The main advantage is that you can find ground coffee everywhere and the machine is really affordable. They only problems is that the taste isn’t exactly the real espresso one because ground coffee loses part of its aroma when it has been ground. Same thing for the wafer coffee. Wafers contain ground coffee that has lost part of its aroma.
Pod coffee machines, instead, grant you the aroma and the intensity of a real cafeteria coffee. The pod is pressurized and sealed so the powder never gets in contact with air. The only disadvantage is the price. Both the machine and the pods come at a cost and each machine wants its own pods.
The most powerful and customizable (so easily adjustable to meet your taste) are the ones that use grain coffee. These machines come with a grinder that lets you select the type of grinding we prefer. A powder with larger grains for a thicker and creamier coffee; smaller grains for a more delicate coffee. As for the majority of the appliances, even in this case you can choose a table top coffee machine that can be put on a worktop, a shelf, a cabinet, or a built in coffee machine. In this case the appliance is added to your sectional kitchen set so you need to find some dedicated space for it.
