Glas Italia tables furnish
Casa Italia Paris 2024, hosting the Italian athletes and their guests from July 26th to August 11th for the XXXIII Olympic Games in Paris.
Ensemble is the concept at the heart of the Casa Italia Paris 2024 project that will transform Le Pré Catelan into a place where nature, art, architecture, furniture design and light design are in dialogue with each other.

“Le Pré Catelan” is the building chosen by CONI, the Italian Olympic National Committee, for Casa Italia, a Napoleon III-style building, immersed in the green of the Bois de Boulogne, with a great symbolic value: right here in 1894 the dinner to celebrate the birth of the Olympic Games of the modern era, wanted by Baron Pierre de Coubertin, was held.
A scenic and emotional path punctuated by works of prominent artists of Italian contemporary art and with furnishings created by nine companies representing the excellence of Italian design throughout the world.
After the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo and the 2018 Winter Olympic Games in Pyeongchang, Glas Italia has been once again invited by CONI to participate in the project:
SHIMMER,
JABOT and
HUB dining tables will furnish the three hospitality rooms on the first floor reserved for athletes and guests, while the low tables
SHIMMER and
FOUNTAIN have been selected to complete the lounge areas.

Reflected objects with a magical and ethereal appearance emerge.

Jabot by Mario Bellini is a collection of dining tables created by gluing at 45° slabs of transparent 12 mm extralight glass, milled and with a shiny ground polished edge. The inner part of the legs has a shaped edge that is reminiscent of soft and sinuous shaped edge. The legs are solid and strengthened by means of a special chemical treatment of the glass. The top is thermally tempered.
