The steplight is a type of lighting solution for indoor use with which to create luminous paths thanks to the installation of a number of splashes that will vary according to the size of the space to be illuminated. The main function of step lights is to allow you to orient yourself in the dark thanks to light beams installed along stairs and corridors inside a dwelling or a commercial space. Whatever the environment or the precise point to be valued with the illumination, the illumination with step lights allows to illuminate creating light games of considerable visual impact.
Among the different types of lighting, certainly the most widespread and the most chosen in the installation of a step light is the one that uses LED technology. In fact, LED step lamps provide optimal brightness, with a longer life than other types of lamps and ensuring high energy savings. The step light often acts as a night light, specially designed to illuminate corridors, stairs and anterooms. Other types of light sources are, for example, those generated by halogen spotlights or step lights with RGB LED technology.
Once we have chosen the type of spotlight that will illuminate our environment we can also decide to opt for dimmer spotlights. The dimmer is a device that connected to the LED spotlight allows to adjust the load power and change the lighting of the desired environment in total freedom. In this way it will be possible to control the intensity of light in a room according to our needs, depending on whether we decide to opt for softer lighting for moments of relaxation or more lively lighting at times when we need more light to perform particular activities.
Walker lights help to make the space more functional and practical, especially in the home. The areas where the step lights are most frequently installed are the sleeping area and transition areas such as corridors. In this type of environment, it is preferable to use recessed wall-mounted step lights, inserting them into the wall to create - for example - a luminous path between the bedroom and the bathroom. If, on the other hand, you want a scenic effect, you usually prefer floor step lights for lighting from below. For the latter type a fundamental characteristic is the possibility that the spotlights can be walked on: having a driveway step lights allows us not to have to worry about walking on the spotlights, fearing that it will affect their operation.
Also, for the choice of the type of material of the step lights will depend very much on the environment in which we decide to install them, for an indoor and domestic environment you may decide to use more design-oriented materials such as ceramic steplights or glass step lights. Certainly, the weight of the decision will also depend very much on the type of style you want to give to the furnishing of our environment also thanks to the use of this particular type of spotlights: in fact, glass led spotlights are a valid alternative for outdoor environments.
Other popular materials are the metal step lights in the aluminum, steel and stainless-steel variants, or the composite material step lights are widely used. Thanks to the fact that they are available in different sizes, they are a very effective lighting solution for every type of room.
When lighting an interior with designer step lights, special attention should be paid to the design of the light along the stairs. The installation of stairway steplights must take into account the functional and practical needs of those who are to use them: when designing with light, it is essential to take into account the visual comfort and practicality of the solution, also considering the existing surrounding lights. For this reason, in addition to enhancing the structure and respecting its symmetry, it is important to take into account the temperature of the colors to be used: for example, it is not advisable to use ultraviolet and halogen lamps, precisely to ensure a harmonious environment. An interesting solution is, then, to place a spotlight on the steps, so you can walk down the stairs safely, even when the other lights are not on. As far as the material is concerned, at this point, in addition to the classic steel step lights, which are in great demand, there are also the plaster step lights, to be embedded in plasterboard walls or similar.
