Washer dryers

Washer dryers are a peculiar appliance that gathers in one piece the washing machine and the dryer, thus offering a great solution for houses where the laundry needs to fit in a small space. A washer dryer can wash and dry separately or perform a unique cycle that includes both phases, allowing to save time and energy. The drying process starts already while washing is ongoing, when the machine makes use of the spin cycle in order to expel most part of the humidity; this task is afterwards completed by means of a heat pump that blows hot air in the drum. When the air cools down, after that, it condenses and is collected in a collection bowl. As for common washing machines and dryers, the models of washer dryers can differ from one another due to several technical characteristic such as the load capacity, power, programs and energy class.
